Applications
Syrgis Performance Chemicals (PChem™) manufactures chemicals which are used throughout the entire oil field and gas industry, from drilling, oil production, and refining to petrochemical production. We manufacture chemicals for many applications, starting with the oilfields where the oil is pumped out of the ground, continuing into the pipelines and refineries—and ultimately into your gas tank.

- Corrosion Inhibitors: Consist of oil-soluble and water dispersible imidazolines and amido and quaternary amines that form a film on metallic surfaces (such as pipes, tanks, and other equipment) that protect the metal from corrosive agents.
- Scale Inhibitors: Phosphonate and phosphate ester based compounds that are continuously fed into the production system to reduce or eliminate carbonate and sulfate scale, a hard mineral coating that forms on the inside of production equipment.
- Scavengers and Solvents: These chemicals help to purify the product at various stages of production. H2S Scavengers and Oxygen Scavengers react with these substances to remove them from the petroleum. Paraffin solvents and inhibitors dissolve or inhibit paraffin (wax) that occurs naturally in crude oil.
- Pour Point Depressants (PPD): These substances lower the temperature at which oil will cease to flow.
- Desalting Demulsifiers: These chemicals are used to assist in the separation of water from crude oil. PChem offers a complete line of demulsifier compounds including resins, sulfonates, esters, diepoxides, amines, thio-cyanates and blends.
- Formulated Concentrates: Combinations of corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors and other products are conveniently formulated to meet specific needs in the fields. These concentrates may be diluted with a suitable solvent for final applications. PChem offers the advanced technical expertise to combine various chemical formulations for specific applications.
