Syrgis Strengthens R&D for Oil and Gas Industry with Hiring of Duane Treybig

INFORMEX – SAN FRANCISCO - (Feb. 18, 2010) – Syrgis Inc., an international diversified group of fine and specialty chemical manufacturers, today announced that Duane Treybig will assume the role of Latexo Laboratory Manager for Syrgis Performance Chemicals’ (PChem) global business.

“Duane brings significantly relevant knowledge and experience to PChem and will be a good team fit on several dimensions, including personality, leadership, work ethic and creativity,” said Andy Harris, Syrgis CEO. “Duane’s exceptional creativity will provide a boost to our newly implemented Syrgis Innovation process. He has 70 patents, which is a testament to his strong background.”

Treybig has worked for leading companies, such as Dow Chemical Co., Nalco Energy Services and Schlumberger, where he did extensive technical work supporting the oil and gas industry. He has a deep history of driving successful projects to commercialization. He earned a master’s degree in chemistry from Texas A&M and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Texas.
